Description

Torakka is an app that connects to a small beacon located on your bike via Bluetooth. This smart beacon helps the user spot their bike in the 100-meter range and gives some extra information, like parking spots or if the bike is moving without authorization.

UX/UI Design

We want the UI to be very clean and intuitive, so the user can spot the location of the bicycle quickly.

We finally created a clear vision of how the final application will look like and how it will work. We also planned to present our vision to the developers to make creating the application easier.

Illustrations

It was amazing and very creative to work on the illustrations for Torakka. Using purple as one of the main colors made the brand very modern and appealing.

Typography and color

Montserrat is a geometric sans-serif typeface, and it's regularly associated with an elegant, light, and versatile style. The combination of the main colors seeks to associate the emotions of energy, power, and fun with the Torakka brand. I was lucky to obtain a harmonic and contrasting result using all those primary, secondary, and neutral colors.

Brand identity

I wanted to stress different elements, like the pin, GPS map, and bicycle wheel. The brand identity of Torakka is very powerful, including its name, which means "tracking" in Japanese. With all these elements, I wanted to express fluency and modernism.

Parcel Tracking

We wanted to show the most relevant information for the delivery process.

Calendar

After some user testing, we understand that the user is more focused on the parcel arrival date versus how many packages they ordered, that’s why we decide to use a calendar as the main screen.

Send

The send experience was the part where we need to excel.

We figure out that many users don't know where they can deliver their parcels, so having a screen where we show the different delivery spots is very helpful for the end-users.

Design

Having a consistent design between the app and the package improves brand recognition for the company.

Brand Identity

This was one of the avant-garde logos that I made. I wanted to symbolize the world with an explosion of packages. At the same time, I wanted to represent organized chaos. The logo was made in Cinema 4D.
